Mark McLatchey

Mark is an experienced Sport Business Manager, who recently retired and is looking to contribute to the Sporting Industry through joining State or National Sporting Organisations as an Independent Director.
He has worked with National Sporting Organisations and other sport sector bodies to deliver and share expertise in Game Development and best practices for recruitment, retention and development of paid employees within the workforce and also volunteers.
Mark retired as the Game Development Manager for Squash Australia late last year where he was responsible for participation, memberships, facilities and events.  Previously he worked at the Australian Sports Commission (now called Sport Australia) for 5.5 years in roles as a Sport Advisor and within the Workforce team.
In 2018 he was awarded an Australia Day Achievement Medallion as part of the Australian Sports Commission’s Physical Literacy working group. Mark completed the AICD Foundations of Directors course in 2017 and was a director of the Brisbane Men’s Hockey Association for 2 years following the completion of the course. His sporting administration career also has seen him operate as the Game and Market Development Manager of Queensland Cricket for 13 years where he was responsible for the management for five main functions of Game and Market Development: participation, education and training, umpiring, Indoor Cricket and Community cricket which included volunteers.

Mark is looking forward to the new challenge of being the Chairperson for ATQ.
